First sign of snow on our balcony.
Well, you can't really tell but these horses were fighting each other to the death, or just enjoying each other's company.  I really don't know anything about horses so I couldn't tell.
The Lodge Boys Home.  This sweet set-up is going to be our home probably until the baby comes.   I think we're moving in this wednesday.
Deer-In-A-Box.  "Good thing I bought that Crockpot..."
Half-frozen river behind the Lodge.  Everything is very pretty.

Question

I would like to know at what moment you believe you became a "living human being" and why.  If you read this please leave a comment below or email me with you answer, it would be very helpful to me.

A look down the road to the entrance of campus.
In the background is the rock climbing wall for the boys.
A look to an edge of campus, the trees border a river.
Our room.
Our kitchen.

New Home

Our guest apartment is on the second floor of this fine building, which also includes the frontier cafe on the first floor as wells as the HR department.  Our bedroom side door connects to that balcony.
Across the way is the small animal and horse barns!  Next to that is the REAP (Rawhide Equine Assisted Program) Building
The horse on the left was just rolling on its back like a dog in the dirt.  I have never seen that before.

All the animals are very friendly and photogenic :D

Day 5, 6, and 7

Day 5: nice
Day 5: Welcome to Kansas sign.  I did not see Dorothy or toto...very disappointing.
Day 6: Extremely cold morning in Missouri on our way out.  We met Hillary in Seattle on our honeymoon.  She invited us to play some songs for their campus crusade group on our way to WI.
Day 6:  Friday night just crossed Wisconsin border.  Welcome to Wisconsin!
Day 7:  Yeah!!! Saturday morning at Rawhide in front of the Lodge with Abe's father Joe.  Starting to remember what walking is like.

Day 4

Day 4: Wednesday morning on the way to breakfast in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Day 4: Caryn and Cody are friends from the Seattle project.  They live near Las Cruces and found us a place to spend the night tuesday.  This is right after breakfast wed morning.
Just Driving
Day 4: Somewhere, New Mexico: A gutted deer roped to a spare tire on top of a jeep...where am I?
Day 4: Wednesday night: this is the biggest cross in the world, although the picture does not do it justice, it was quite enormous...they say everything is bigger in Texas.

Day 2 and 3

Day 2: Old town Yuma, Az near Abe's old workplace when he lived in Az for a few months.
Day 3: On the road, an interstate rest stop and Abe hugging a cactus...you start to lose your mind out here.
...like I said.
Day 3: Some buttes in Arizona on the way to Fort Huachuca to see Jared :D
Day 3: Abe, Jared and Me tuesday night in Sierra Vista right outside of Fort Huachuca. He said that me being pregnant was "freakish".

Day 2: Sunny southern, Ca after leaving Abe's cousin's home in Riverside on our way to Yuma Az
Day 2: Salvation Mountain, east of the Salton Sea in way south Ca.  this place came with a creepy "we could die here and nobody would know" feel to it but the verses and colors were awesome.
Leonard and Abe, Leonard is the artist that has lived in this part of the desert and worked on Salvation Mountain for the last 20 years!
Day 2: Way south California, bordering mexico.  You can see the border fence in black in the background.
